What is a Filling?
Fillings are used when there is tooth decay, also known as a cavity. Fillings may be used if there is a cracked or broken tooth that needs to be fixed. We also recommend replacing old and damaged fillings.
Composite fillings
There are many types of filling materials available. We work closely with our patients to determine the best options for restoring teeth.
Composite fillings, along with silver amalgam fillings, are the most widely used today. Composite fillings are tooth coloured and they can be closely matched to the colour of a patient's existing teeth. These fillings are suited aesthetically for teeth in more visible areas of the mouth.
